EIT Awards

Do you want to acknowledge a colleague or team that has made a difference in Enterprise IT (EIT), perhaps even throughout the University? The EIT Awards recognize individuals and teams within EIT that foster a positive climate, deliver superior customer service, practice integrity, mentor and coach colleagues, and more.

Above and Beyond Award

Behind the Scenes Award

Integrity Award

The Process

  • To nominate someone for an EIT Award, simply fill out the nomination form during the submission period, making sure to provide three to five references who are willing to support your nomination. Only nominees who have been EIT employees for at least one year will be eligible for awards.
  • Once the nomination period has ended, the EIT Awards committee will interview each nominee’s references. The EIT Awards committee will then forward their input to the ranking committee, and the nominees will be vetted based on qualifications and accomplishments.
  • EIT Award recipients will be announced in November 2017.

Above and Beyond Award

Does a colleague consistently show superior customer service? Nominate them for the Above and Beyond Award. This award recognizes an EIT employee or team that has exhibited superior customer service, either within or outside EIT.

Behind the Scenes Award

Do you know someone who works hard behind the scenes to ensure our workplace remains intact? Nominate them for the Behind the Scenes Award. This award recognizes an EIT employee or team that works tirelessly to maintain servers, plan events, design websites, or do any of the other tasks that sometimes go unseen.

Integrity Award

If you’ve you worked with someone who acts with exceptional integrity, nominate them for the Integrity Award. This award recognizes an EIT employee who acts with integrity and honesty while maintaining the highest academic, professional, and ethical standards—actively encouraging and inspiring others to uphold their own values, even in the face of adversity.

EIT Spirit Award

Does someone you work with have a gift for bringing people together, embracing new ideas, and finding innovative ways to help EIT and the University? If so, nominate them for the EIT Spirit Award! This award recognizes an EIT employee who supports and connects people, ideas, and actions in the most innovative, accessible, and efficient ways possible. They accomplish EIT's goal of using IT to support students, faculty, and staff while moving Penn State forward.

Making EIT a Great Place to Work Award

Has someone worked especially hard to make EIT a positive work environment? Nominate them for the Making EIT a Great Place to Work Award. This award recognizes an EIT employee or team that has been instrumental in building or maintaining a positive work climate.

Mentorship Award

If someone on your team stands out as a great coach or mentor, nominate them for the Mentorship Award. This award recognizes an EIT employee who takes the time to support others in their professional journeys. Candidates can be a coach, mentor, or role model from any area, job category, or level across EIT. Formal management experience is not required.
